Therapy is a process that can be helpful to an individual of any age who are facing challenges. Therapy allows the individual to get a better understanding of their true self and learn new coping strategies so that they can overcome obstacles, facing them. As a child (educational) psychologist I have been trained to work with children, adolescents, young adults, parents and families. I have had additional training in bereavement/grief counselling, trauma, anxiety and divorce counselling. I am also an accredited divorced mediator. I offer a personalized approach suitable to each client’s individual needs to help them reach their personal growth that they are working towards. When working with families with children showing emotional or behavioural problems I help improve the parent-child relationship by changing negative interaction patterns and establish a positive nurturing relationship. These parents taught skills lead to a decrease in disruptive behaviours and in turn reduce parental stress.
